Since all information is stored exclusively on your local device, we only use it to:

  • Display your notes and content when you open a new tab
  • Apply your preferred settings and theme
  • Enable the core functionality of the extension

Again, no information leaves your device. All processing happens locally within your browser.

Data Security

Since all data is stored locally on your device using Chrome's built-in storage mechanisms, security is managed by your browser. Your data is subject to Chrome's security model, which isolates extension data from other extensions and websites.

If you use Chrome's sync feature, your extension data may be synced across your devices according to Chrome's sync settings and privacy policy. This process is handled by Chrome, not by Novum.

Chrome Permissions

Our extension requires only the following permission:

  • Storage: To save your notes, content, and preferences locally in your browser using Chrome's storage API. This permission does not allow us to access data from other websites or extensions.
